Making a tie for dad in my churches child's program and giving to him to wear to church on fathers day it was an ugly but he wore it and was so proud of me.

Every Father's day was great with my Dad. This will be our first Father's day without him. I miss him so much.

Every year rain or shine, it was picnic time, and we'd pack up the goodies, head out and find a place to have it. Good times.

My fondest memories of my father is all of them. My father was always doing with us kids no matter what was going on. From just picking a rose from his rose bush & giving to me to just knowing no matter where I was in this world my day would drop everything to help & be there for us kids. He is my HERO!!

My fondest Father's Day memory is when, just after dinner, we all engaged in a game of football. It had been a while since my father had played, so it was especially fun.

Fondest Father's Day memory so far is when we had the entire family in the backyard for swimming and grilling, and surprising my Dad with his favorite dessert, homemade flan.

Since my father was not in my life from the time I was 2 years old, my Grandfather filled that void. Father's Day was special with him. We would stop by the donut shop and bring him donuts. He loved that very much.

Spending time with my dad fishing. He pulled apart a hugh worm and I was so excited and nosy as a kid I had my face over his shoulder. The worm parts went all over all my face but I was just so happy being with my dad I wasn't even upset..I miss his terribly...I love you Dad.

I just love my dad, with his faults, and we all have them. I remember him picking me up in his new 81 corvette when I was just a young child from school. I thought I was the coolest chick with a cool dad

My fondest Father's Day thus far is Father's Day 2007, which I celebrated with my husband and our children. At the time our daughter was three and a half, and our son was not quite a year old. I managed to get both of their handprints on a t-shirt, and we made a few other handmade things, which my husband absolutely loved. That day was just wonderful for us.

I would have to say the year we went fishing for a week. We rarely get the chance to take vacations and that year we got to go away for a week and stay in a cabin. My dad loved fishing and just spending time with the family. It was the day after we returned that he passed away so that trip sticks out in my memory.

Due to my absentee father, I really have no fathers day memories. I hope that is OK and can count as my entry. I am trying to win this for my hubby!

My fondest Father's Days are when our whole family gets together. Now that we're older, it doesn't happen every year.

Sandy N said...[Reply]

The first Father's Day after our daughter was born! She was about 8 months old at the time, and him & her totally worship each other so it is quite the sight to see :)

Cinny said...[Reply]

@angie lilly, I'm so sorry to hear that. Of course you can still enter! Your hubby is important too! :) Good luck!

The fondest Father's Day I remember was with my grandpa. My brother and I, we were young at the time, had painted some things for him. My brother painted him a bulldog..he had those items forever till his death. He showed those to everyone and always displayed them on a shelf.

Some years my dad's birthday will fall on Father's Day . Those were always so fun because we always made it a huge party.
