Papa John's Customer Appreciation Day 50% OFF!!!

I have a super sweet coupon code for today only 05/19/11 (Thursday) for 50% off Papa John's online orders. Use BMR50. Learn Spanish through Speekee TV Review and Giveaway

CLOSED

Ola! I have always loved learning languages! When I actually started my rotations, I fully understood how important Spanish was. It sounds ridiculously corny to say this but in today's world, being multilingual is really beneficial and in my field, it really enhances the quality of care. So, I am really happy to be able to review Speekee TV, which allows you to learn Spanish through videos online. It has 10 videos altogether with over 150 minutes of video filled with the mascot, Speekee, as well as native Spanish speaking children.

New England Coffee Co. Review

I love the delicious aroma of coffee despite being a tea lover. I still enjoy my flavored coffees though and was more than happy to review New England Coffee Co's newest line of dark roast coffees because I had the perfect person in mind to test these babies out on! The Dark Roast line of coffee is made from 100% Arabica beans which are roasted at higher temperatures for longer periods of time which results in the darker color and a full bodied, low-acidity coffee with intense flavor.

TheraBreath Review and Giveaway ($25 value)

CLOSED
A couple years back, I had a really bad problem with my breath but the worst part was that I really had no clue that it was going on. To me, everything was normal. It wasn't until my family noticed and said something that I realized how bad it was. Trust me, for some reason, I had really bad breath; my family smelt it from the front of the car and I was in the back. It turns out I had chronic sinusitis so once that was treated, my bad breath went away. However, recently, I wasn't feeling so hot and that bad breath started coming back again. This ended up being perfect timing when TheraBreath initiated contact with me and was wonderful about doing a review for them. They sent me TheraBreath Oral Rinse 10 oz (MRSP 10.50), TheraBreath Toothpaste 4 oz (MRSP 10.50) and TheraBreath Mouth-Wetting Lozenges 100 (MRSP 13.00).

Children's CD Review: Hope Harris in Cousins Jamboree

With the unfortunate blogger down-time and loss of some of my posts, I'm afraid I have to start from scratch and do some reposts which puts my schedule slightly behind. Nevertheless, keep your eyes peeled, some great reviews and giveaways are on their way!

Hope Harris, graduate of University of Virginia and Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre, has performed both on and off broadway in NYC, various productions across the country and stints at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe. She's most well known for her role as "Baker Bobbie" in the Chocolate Chip Chamber Music Series in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY. Her newest children's music album, Cousins Jamboree, has already won the 2011 Parents' Choice Silver Honor Award.

Happy Mother's Day, everyone! What did your little ones do for you today?

I called my mom and wished her "Happy Mother's Day!" Did you find a moment in your day to call your loved ones? Then, I spent the beautiful day out in the sun.

I'll be working on some reviews and giveaways that should be posted during this week.  So, look forward to that. In the meantime, get your entries in for Children's Book Review & Giveaway: The Adventures of Joe-Joe Nut & Biscuit Bill, Case #2: Mineral Mischief (US/CAN) 05/27.

Children's Book Review: The Night Night Book

From bestselling author, Marianne Richmond, comes a another new book "The Night Night Book"! For those of you who don't know Marianne Richmond, she is a writer, artist, and greeting card company (Marianne Richmond Studios, Inc.) owner. I fell in love with her books the first time I read "If I could Keep you Little" and I was expecting great things from this book as well, and let's just say that it never failed to please.

The Synopsis:
The Night Night Book takes readers on a tour of the house as everyone settles in. Whimsical artwork and comforting scenes show kids it's time to say goodnight. Filled with text and illustrations that exemplify Marianne's real insights into the human spirit, it is an adorable bedtime story that helps kids and parents bid farewell to the day, settle in for the night and rest up for a new tomorrow.
As I was reading this book, all I kept thinking was, "How does she do this? How can she write such touching books that seem so perfect?!" This is a book that I want to read to my future children, not once or twice, but probably every night before they go to bed until they go, "Mom, I've got the book memorized, you don't need to read it anymore!" This is a must read and I would recommend it to any parent and kids; its truly a beautiful bedtime story. This book gets full marks, 10 stars out of 10.

Buy It: The Night Night Book ($9.99Cdn, $7.95US) can be found at various bookstores (Barnes & Nobles, Amazon, sourcebooks.com).
