A friendly package from #SergeantsPet

When I got back this past week, I was pleasantly surprised that the new friendships I had formed at #BlogPaws had given me a surprise. The friendly folk over at Sergeant's Pet had sent me a care package with a Sentry calming collar, Sentry calming spray, Sentry Stop It Spray, a bottle of shampoo and an adorable new toy for the fur babies! Isn't that sweet of them?

I just found a new toy and I can see kids and adults alike loving this one. Are you curious? This could give them hours of entertainment. I introduce to you blankZ, the toy that allows you to display your artistic side. They're called blankZ because they are plush dolls that come as blank slates and markers so that you can decorate and design your toy however you'd like. I said we'd be doing our best, well I'd be doing my best during week 29 so that I could try to look decent at BlogHer this week. We were pretty good at sticking to the Nutri now that we're back and we did dine out a few times being that it's Restaurant Week!

#NYC #Foodie Experiences -#Morimoto...a disappointment

It's Restaurant Week here in NYC from Jul 16-Aug 10 and an awesome way to try out new restaurants if you're in the Big Apple. It'll cost you $24.07 for 3 course prix fixe lunches and $35 for dinner so not bad in terms of prices. Morimoto was a place I had been wanting to try out because of Iron Chef Morimoto. He's known for his amazing dishes so since I booked my reservation, I had been excitedly waiting for the day to arrive. Unfortunately, it sorely disappointed and I'll tell you why.

Mmm...ramen is definitely on my MUST Eat list when I go to Japan, but did you know there's several places famous for ramen in the Big Apple? If you're coming to visit New York City, there's a place where there is always a line-up! That place is Ippudo. Ippudo NYC has it's origins in Japan, where Shigemi Kawahara owns 43 shops. NYC is where Ippudo made it's first overseas debut. This is where my New Yorker friends have all told me I must go to try ramen. However, scared off by the 1.5hr+ wait times, I held off for a long time. You see, they don't take reservations and they don't do take outs. So you have to go and wait for your reservation and eat there. Still, it's always busy!

So, you're headed to New York for #BlogHer 12 or just to see the amazing Big Apple. You want to hit up all the great places to eat and well, I'm going to share some with you. Have you heard of Peter Lugers? No? Are you serious? It's only one of the best steakhouses in the US. It's even mentioned in the New York Times #1 Best Selling Book, 1000 Places to See Before You Die. They celebrated 125 years of tradition this year. When I say tradition, I mean tradition...they haven't changed their methods since they opened in 1887. This is a must go to place if you proclaim yourself to be a foodie. Hell, even if you aren't a foodie, go try it out! It's been rated New York's #1 Steak House for 28 years in a row!

I love new clothes and well, for me, the most important thing is that they're both comfortable and look great. With #BlogHer coming up, I needed a new wardrobe and I really wanted some new Spring dresses. I found an adorable one at OASAP. It was the Color Block Flouncing Knee Length Dress. I can't even tell you how excited I was to get this in the mail. When I tore into the package, I thought, awesome, this is definitely going to fit. And it did...except for one tiny feature...LOL!

It's been awhile since I cut my hair...a year probably. I get so busy with my life that I don't get a chance to book an appointment and keep it. However, I increasingly hear about people doing it for cosmetic reasons quite commonly. Even those who have had a masectomy go up a size or two for cosmetic reasons when they get their implants placed. Well, if you have to do it anyways, why not, right? Now, there are people who get breast enhancements, but did you also know that people can also get breast reductions? You may ask, but why? Medical problems can arise from large breasts. They can cause back, neck and shoulder pain and affect the physical and psychological well-being of a woman. There's always both sides of an issue, right?

It's summer time and people are travelling, enjoying their family time. How are you making it your #SummertoRemember though? Are you planning to make your garden blossom, take your family to the beach, organize family gatherings, or all of these and more? As for me, I've always loved road trips. It was kind of the hallmark of every summer vacation. My family would always go on road trips when we were growing up and so I've made a #SummertoRemember Road Trips Pinterest board to share some of what we used to pack. My stress levels have been off the charts this week because there was a slight emergency over the last several stays. My goodness, what a crazy week it has been. I spent the last two days in a state of panic and worry because there was an emergency to tend to. Didn't I tell you Disney was bringing all these old classics back? I have to wondering if there's some celebration or some meaning behind all of this. The latest one has to do with the Wizard of Oz! I vaguely remember something about this a long time ago. It completely slipped my mind how much I enjoy challenges like this until I was sent a little reminder. My fellow Disney Pixar fans, do you know about this? Do you search for the "Hidden Gems" that the filmmakers put into each of their films. For example, in WALL•E’s, his explorations led him to find a Mike Wazowski (Monsters, Inc.) antenna ball and in Up, you can see the classic Luxo Jr. ball in the girl’s bedroom as Carl Fredricksen’s house flies by her window.
