If you've read any of my posts, you'll know I'm always a fan of independent, strong women. It is always nice to have an equal, a partner, however I wholeheartedly believe that us women should be able to take care of ourselves as well. So, The Marvels just called to me, not just 1 woman superhero but 3! 3! You've got to love it.

Oohh, I echo what I would say most of the Asian population are murmuring. It's finally time for an Asian Super Hero and so we were so excited when we heard Shang-Chi would be coming to the big screens. It has now debuted on all major digital and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on November 30. We enjoyed a digital screener at home and it was so much fun.

So I'm going to rant...just a little. I am Asian, proudly so. I work a full-time job in the medical field. I'm a wife, a mother, a daughter, a granddaughter and so much more. More importantly, my full-time job helps others. I get there are varying opinions out there, I get that there's a bunch of propaganda out there. However, is it that hard to treat others with kindness and respect? #StopAsianHate -It's quite simple. I watch those videos of random people attacking innocent and random Asians going about their day and it breaks my heart. It could be my mother, my grandmother. My parents are active in their church helping others and also work in the medical field, helping others. Open your hearts, people are more than what they appear by outer appearances. That is why, it is with absolute joy and happiness that I share that Disney finally has an Asian princess heroine in Raya and the Last Dragon. It's about freaking time! I absolutely LOVE Disney but have always complained about the lack of good Asian roles in Disney and Hollywood in general. Raya and the Last Dragon arrives on 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ and DVD beginning May 18 and brings a beautiful message.

I love a good Disney Pixar movie. Honestly, sometimes they're my favorites among the Disney movies. Soul is no different. Directed by Academy Award® winner Pete Docter (Inside Out, Up), co-directed by Kemp Powers (One Night in Miami) and produced by Academy Award nominee Dana Murray, p.g.a. (Pixar short Lou), Disney and Pixar’s Soul is now available on digital, 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ and DVD. Disney and Pixar's Soul is suitable for all ages however some of it is a bit deeper than a child might understand.

I seriously miss the movie theater. However, it's not so ba these days because with a pre-schooler, sitting still for a movie in a theater sometimes doesn't work. That's why we love the ability to watch movies at home...especially Disney movies! Any WOS reader knows that we love Disney and are very much so a Disney family. So it's extra exciting when we get to watch new movies on Disney+. Disney's Flora & Ulysses is the newest movie to release on Disney+ Friday 19, 2021. It is just so much fun!

I think this has been a hard year for everyone regardless of what you do, who you are. With a pandemic ravaging the world, it is more important now than ever to realize that we are just a person that can have significant impacts on so many others. Every choice we make has the potential to affect someone else. What I think we can all agree on though is that we all need a healthy dose of cheer. I never realized how much entertainment and movies really did that for me. Laughter is certainly the best medicine and Disney+ delivers it in their newest comedy, Godmothered. Read on for our spoiler-free review.

Mulan has always struck a cord with me and I am so excited that it's finally being brought to a live action version by Disney. It was one of those early Disney movies that featured a strong female heroine...not only any heroine, but an Asian heroine. I L-O-V-E that Hollywood is finally bringing more non-stereotypical Asians to the big screens. It's about time!

I initially had mixed feelings before going to the screening of The BFG. Especially as it comes just a week or so after Finding Dory, which has been very much anticipated by many Disney Pixar fans, I couldn't decide whether I wanted to go based on the trailers I had seen and I wasn't sure if my husband wanted to go with me or not. Less than half an hour into the film, I realized that I was really glad I had decided to go to the screening. In fact, I was certain that my husband would regret not coming with me and that he would enjoy the film just as much as I would. The BFG is a MUST SEE because you really can't help but fall in love with The BFG and the beloved Roald Dahl story. Plus, it's directed by Steven Spielberg (see the clip for his thoughts on directing this film!).

How do you know you're a Disney die hard fan? Hmmm...well in my case, I would say, it's when you start living in it in your dreams. I dreamt of dancing teapots and candlesticks in my home singing "Be My Guest". Yep, not going crazy...just losing myself in the future. As many may know, Disney has an upcoming live-action of Beauty and the Beast. This was one of the childhood classics I loved telling of romance and bravery. Take a look at the first sneak peek of this highly anticipated classic featuring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson.
