When the trailer came out for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem...I was excited. I really looked forward to this movie because both my husband and I loved watching TMNT as kids. We've watched some of the original movies with our son and it's such fun! So when Mutant Mayhem became available, we knew we definitely needed to get it!

Though it hasn't quite warmed out in our part of the woods, Easter is here already. This means more time outdoors for our family. Sometimes, out on the golf course...other times, just on simple walks with our dogs. Lately though, we've had a lot more fun on our walks and when looking outside the window. "Why?", you ask. Well, it's simple really. We've expanded our home library with another fantastic collection of books from National Geographic Kids and have started birdwatching!

Happy Spring to our readers. I love it when the days get longer and warmer. I don't mind winter but I certainly do welcome Spring. These past couple years have been a lots of ups and downs and I hope and pray that this year will only get better. So, let's start off our Spring with some gusto and happy kids! I have to admit that seeing my kid happy is sometimes the best form of happiness.

I hear friends complain all the time. It's summer and my kids aren't doing anything but watching TV. I don't hate TV, however I do know that too much screen time is never great for a kid's development. There certainly are educational programs that are great out there, however, it's also nice to limit that at times, spend some quality time with the kids and have them explore the outdoors. As a mother, the most important thing to me is a healthy and happy child. So I’m always looking for a healthy alternative to something. Particularly since my preschooler rarely eats his fruits and vegetables at school, I find myself always adding fruits and veggies after pick up to ensure that he gets enough!
