Summer is finally here! It's so beautiful, sunny, and warm! Summer activities keep the kids so busy. How do you guys cope and deal? This is our first summer doing activities with our preschooler and it has been hectic running around with work, daycare pick up, meals and getting him to activities in time. They do miss their friends though without school so sometimes, it's nice to see some of them at activities or even sleep overs!

I always enjoy a good book but I am ecstatic that my preschooler loves books as much as I do. In fact, our book shelves seem to be bursting at the seam. He loves reading all sorts of books. I hear friends complain all the time. It's summer and my kids aren't doing anything but watching TV. I don't hate TV, however I do know that too much screen time is never great for a kid's development. I love my sweets as much as anyone else but I admit, I'm a little bit of a hypocrite when it comes to my child. In a sense, having a child has curbed a lot of my bad eating habits. I tend to go for healthier options to try to set that good example to get them started on life in a healthy way. So, our Easter is typically less sweet-tooth oriented than it used to be. One of my absolute favorite go-to's are gifts that are both fun and educational if you've followed along the blog at all. Our proverbial Easter basket for our preschooler this year is sweet in a non-sugary way.

Geography, not my best subject... Inherently from the north with a kid raised in the south, my Canadian geography is definitely better.
