Summer is finally here! It's so beautiful, sunny, and warm! Summer activities keep the kids so busy. How do you guys cope and deal? This is our first summer doing activities with our preschooler and it has been hectic running around with work, daycare pick up, meals and getting him to activities in time. They do miss their friends though without school so sometimes, it's nice to see some of them at activities or even sleep overs!

So in conjunction with Summer Slumber parties, Nat Geo Kids has put together a fun collection of books for sleepovers of all ages...and I mean, ALL ages. I giggle as I write this because even my husband was all excited for a particular book in the sleepover collection.

Inside our Nat Geo Kids "Slumber Party" Collection, there is:

National Geographic Kids Personality Quizzes (ages 8-12, $9.99, Paperback) - I don't know why but there's so much fun in personality quizzes! As a family, we often take them together and then compare our results. There's all sorts of interesting quizzes in this book including "What stinky animal are you? -a favorite of our goofy child...to "What's your shark superpower?"

Don't Read This Book Before Bed: Thrills, Chills and Hauntingly True Stories (ages 8-12, $14.99, Paperback) -Yep, if you were thinking it, you guessed right! My husband saw this book and wanted to be a part of bedtime reading. So, maybe it's not just for 8-12 year olds. Adults will find this book interesting as well. We loved how there's a meter for "how scary" the story may be. Our son didn't quite enjoy this book as well, but heck, he's 5 so it may still be too mature for him.

Critter Chat (ages 8-12, $9.99, Paperback) -This is a fun book for kids all about if animals could speak...and text, post selfies, and review items, what they might potentially say! It's quite the funny and interesting book. Imagine a lion's screen name as "Just_Lion_Around". It's just basic silliness we could all use in our days.

National Geographic Kids Sleepover Survival Kit Review and Givaway
Cutest Animals on the Planet (ages 8-12, $9.99, Paperback) - Now, we truly have an irresistable book. Who could really resist the cutest animals on the planet. There's just some warm fuzzies that come into play when we see these adorable critters and animals. Read about adorable animals and learn about their unique behaviors and traits that make them uniquely them!

Girls Can! Smash Stereotypes, Defy Expectations and Make History (ages 9-14, $14.99, Hardcover) -Now this is a must for any girls' sleepover, particularly in line with this strong mama's thought process and beliefs. This book highlights amazing women and the things that we can do as women! I absolutely hate it when people put us into boxes and try to define us. I love nothing more than to prove people wrong!

This Summer, be even cooler with the kids with a fantastic National Geographic Kids Collection that will elevate any Slumber party experience for kids of all ages. Heck, we even have fun with our preschooler and do "Camping Slumber Parties" as a family and there's always great bedtime reading with our friends at Nat Geo Kids.

Our friends at National Geographic Kids have offered up a "Sleepover Survival Kit" Giveaway (ARV $70) to one of our WOS readers which includes the above 5 books plus an animal-themed sleep mask. Open to the US/Canada, 18+. Ends 11:59PM EST on Jul 04, 2023. Good luck! Winners have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen.

Oh we definitely couldn't have the thrills and chills book before bed with my younger son's anxiety, but we would enjoy the other books!
