In this world of quarantine, so many are working on home DIY projects. However, for us who may not be wood-work inclined or having crazy amounts of time to put into a project, there's some rather simple things that can be done that don't take up too much time and still transform a space. I happen to love watching HGTV and enjoy interior design and updates.

For those of you who are pet parents, how do your pets behave in stressful situations? Are they pretty good or do they wreck havoc. Having a new baby and somewhat antsy dogs, I didn't know how they'd respond. The more nurturing and caring of the two, JR, ended up being more avoidant of baby than anything and our louder, constantly needing attention BabyPom, ended up wanting to give baby kisses all the time, despite also wanting to be held at the same time. I will admit, it's gotten a bit more challenging getting them out for routine walks while taking care of a baby and it certainly contributes to the crazy pent up energy. Regardless, there have been some genuinely stressful situations for the pups and I have found these 5 following tips helpful to keep pets calm in stressful situations.

Each season is fleeting, with both its ups and downs. Summer is a fantastic time of the year, especially for those of us trapped in parts with frigid winters. The gorgeous sun, warm waters, and longer days are a blessing that we love and miss as the days get shorter. However, with heat comes stickiness and that general feeling of ickiness. Then we get into fall, and it becomes cooler...a welcoming sensation for many, and for others, a reminder of the cold winters just beyond.

Back to School timing has always been stressful. It's the time that kids have to get their immunizations, check ups and sports physicals. The time when we have to adjust schedules and get back into the swing of things. Most of the time, it also coincides with moving season! Has this ever happened to you? I feel like I go through these cycles once every few years but this year has been the hardest transition so far. We just moved again and I have come to the revelation that I had much more than I ever realized. Things that I packed before the move 3 years ago are still wrapped up, however, now they are "unknown" objects...I have no idea what is in them. Add to the move a shortened time for unpacking, work has started, and the school year is right around the corner and I am stressed out. Thankfully, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to still be #PositivelyPrepared for #BackToSchool. Join me and learn how you can be positively prepared for back to school! Plus, learn how to safely pack glassware for moves.

How well do you sleep? Since my life revolves around shifts, my sleep schedule isn't always the best. However, that's especially why it's even important to make the most of the time that I do sleep. Sleep is where our body's heal, rejuvenate, consolidate memory, and on the most basic level, what is supposed to leave us well and refreshed for battling another day. Like everyone else, I have some better nights and some worse nights. The nights where the dogs need to be let out multiple times are one of those bad nights. What about you? I'm sure you can think of a few nights. Here's the good news, you can learn how to make the most of your sleep.

Great holiday gift ideas from Whirlwind of Surprises
Brrr...it is chilly out! The snow is falling and it is almost Christmas. Every month I find myself wondering...where did that last month ago. I tend to be a bundler and proudly sport my layers like the Michelin man. JR and BabyPom, as you might remember, have very different concepts regarding clothing. BabyPom loves any type of clothing, however with his double coat, he tends to stay warmer. JR, though she typically despises clothing, is the one that hates the cold and getting wet. The winter season is especially tough on them and all pets in general. How do you and your pets cope? Here are 5 Tips that will help keep your pets healthy and warm over the winter season.

Having had the pups for close to 5 years, I've long wanted a car seat cover for my car. The pups shed fur all the time and my seats are covered in fur and dirt. It's worse when it's raining or snowing out and they track everything onto my leather seats. Yes, we were long over due for a seat cover. How do you choose a seat cover though? There's so many out there with all sorts of different options. I wanted the perfect one. Luckily Kurgo has quite the selection and these tips will be sure to help you choose one that's best fit for you.

As I was enjoying the outdoors the other day and chatting with one of my blogger friends, we were discussing how much we love Monroe and Main because they have such a wide assortment of items for women of all shapes and sizes (6-24 or S-3X). She was telling me how she is usually hesitant to order online and sometimes I am too because things may not fit or look right. However, things always work out with Monroe and Main. Partly I believe it's their stellar customer service that I've personally experienced. The other component has to do with taking your measurements correctly and knowing how to dress your body type.

Yep, we're already into the New Year. How are your resolutions going? I tend to make the same resolutions every year and typically give up on them January or February if I'm stretching it. As I was chatting with my buddies, I realized I always set unrealistic resolutions. Essentially, I set myself up for failure. Do you do that too?

The life of a Disney story artist is definitely more complicated than it appears. That's what I learnt when I met with Dan Abraham (head of story/art) and Art Hernandez (lead storyboard artist) for Disney Planes. It all started over 2 years ago when they finally received the story that Klay wanted it to be at.

As a family, we love pizza, the cheesy strings, the hot crispy crust...mmm, just the thought makes me drool! We've ordered out, we've baked pre-made pizzas, and we've even made our own in the oven. We've never tried grilling it before, which was the challenge this time around!

Beautician for a day #holidaygiftguide

Christmas Gift Ideas 2012
Beauty Chic™ sent me a Rechargeable Palm-Pedi foot Smoother ($29.99). Everyone’s skin dries out during winter and no matter the amount of creams and lotions we put on, the heel has always been a trouble spot. It’s more of a problem for some than others. Equipped with 3 circular miro files and a system that collects the shavings, the system softens rough heels and removes calluses. It’s decently small, which makes it portable and the fact that it’s rechargeable is really appealing. The first charge needs to be 8 hours long and a full charged machine should work for 40 minutes.

Bringing new flair to my hallways US/CAN 11/21 #design #holidaygiftguide

Christmas Gift Ideas 2012
I can't wait for the day when I move into my own home and can decorate the way I like. It's been hard living in a rental apartment the past several years, knowing that I can't alter my place to make it truly me. So, I've always held a fascination with vinyl decoration decals. You know, you stick them on, make your place pretty...simple, right? When you move, you just have to rip them down and they're reusable so technically, you can bring them with you to your new home.

Protect the #AirYouShare with @HaloGermDefense US 11/21

Christmas Gift Ideas 2012
What do you normally do when people around you start getting sick? Well, it does feel a bit awkward to step back and run away, doesn’t it? Halo Oral Antiseptic Spray from Oasis Consumer Healthcare is a new product that is clinically proven to kill 99.9% of infectious airborne germs you breathe in for up to 6 hours. It’s the first and only product in the market that does this. It’s useful because even if someone coughs or sneezes in an environment, germs can last in the air and breathed in.

So, while we were doing our Wreck-It Ralph Press Day a while back, I told you we learnt how to draw animated characters with Renato dos Anjos (Head of Animation on Wreck-It Ralph) and Kira Lehtomaki (Animator). You know the "I'm Gonna Wreck It" pose? We'll do that this week and then next week, we'll do how to draw Wreck-It Ralph's Punch.
