#Disney Updates with #Pixar #Brave and Marvel #Avengers

Well, since I was gone for the weekend for BlogPaws, there was a ton of catching up to do! So, here are some updates from a couple of awesome Disney films this year...Disney Pixar's Brave and Disney Marvel's Avengers!
Disney Pixar Brave
Brave came out this past weekend and did you know it was the #1 movie at the box office! Did you get a chance to go see it on opening weekend? Have you figured out the reason behind my obsession with these 3 little guys? What'd you think of the Will O' The Wisps? Mysterious, right? They are actually in a lot of Scottish folktales and according to "Brave" director, Mark Andrews, "They were said to lead you to treasure or doom—to change your fate—but they’re an actual phenomenon of swamp and bog gas seeping up through the earth and interacting with the natural resources to create the blue flames. People would follow these lights thinking they were little fairies, and basically drown or get sucked down into the bogs." Oops! Watch out for those bogs! Haha... In the movie though, Andrew says,“We made the wisps like actual little spirits. They’re almost like Marley’s ghost in a way, because Marley’s ghost isn’t an evil spirit—even though he’s frightening, he’s trying to warn Ebenezer to change his ways. That’s what the wisps are doing. There’s a duality to them, because they’re either good or evil—they lead Merida into more and more trouble, but in the end, they’ve led her exactly where she needs to go.”

Check out the wisps here:
Besides the Will O' The Wisps, I also have another Brave clip for you to enjoy. Check out Potion Making...the spell to change fates~

Did you know Marvel’s The Avengers is doing so well that they were expected to cross the $600 million domestic box office threshold. That makes them one of only three films in history ever to do this! It already stands as the #3 film of all time globally with a gross of $1,438.3 million and domestically. It is one of 12 films to pass that $1 billion mark at the global box office. Impressive, right?

My daughter saw Brave and loved it but recommends that young children will probably not enjoy it as much.
