Best #Burger #Recipes -"Revival Melt" to revive the Northeast after #Sandy?

Flame Grilled Patty
Well, Sandy has left millions jilted in it's wake. This week after Hurricane Sandy has been a tad crazy. Many shiver without power, shelter, and food. Mile long lines and people waiting hours in gas lines. Never in the history of New York, or even anywhere I've lived, have I ever seen such chaos...grocery stores shelves close to empty, the public transport system debilitated, lower Manhattan powerless, and the New York Stock Exchange closed for 2 days. Incidences so rare that it's like seeing the Loch Ness or Bigfoot in the middle of the dessert.

In the midst of all of this, we all wanted something simple and easy to cook. Something I'd like to call the "best burger recipe". There's nothing like reviving people than with a bit of hamburger deliciousness. Ball Park, known better for their hot dogs, has recently introduced Flame Grilled Patties. These fully cooked patties are made with 100% beef and heats up in the microwave in a minute.

My burger creation is called "The Revival Melt", aptly named for the slowly reviving NYC and the rest of the NE coast after Sandy's meltdown. It'll take time but we'll get there. Plus, this yummy burger will revive anyone. Ha! It was created with what was available in the stores after the storm.

The "Revival Melt" Burger (Prep Time 5min, Cook Time 5 min)
Ingredients:
-Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef and Cheese Patty
-1 medium tomato
-1 medium red onion
-4 oz Sliced White Mushrooms
-1 Tsp light butter
-Sliced Muenster Cheese
-Whole grain Sandwich Thins

Steps:
1) Prep the ingredients. Slice the Tomato and onion into thin slices.
2) Sautee the mushrooms with 1 tsp of light butter.
3) Heat up a patty in a microwave safe plate and cover with paper towel. Microwave on high for 65-75 seconds. Leave for 30 seconds.
4) Transfer to burger and top with a slice of Muenster cheese.
5) Add sauteed mushrooms and let sit 30 seconds.
6) Top with several onion rings, a couple slices of tomato. (Some lettuce would've been great too if there were any in my grocery store)
7) Spread ketchup on the top of the burger bun, close it up and enjoy your Revival Melt!
Best burger recipe
Well, it'd be nice to revive everyone's spirits with some meaty burgers. I know the SO's appetite was definitely revived. The burgers do taste great but are slightly higher in calories and fat than I prefer. At 240 calories per patty, 180 are fat. The paper towel was fairly soaked in oil after the minute. Despite all of that, I can't deny that my "Revival Melt" Burger turned out mouthwateringly good. So good, I couldn't stop at just one.

Take up the challenge with Ball Park and pro football legends Deion Sanders, Tony Siragusa and Jason Taylor in the search for the best Burgers Across America. Using regionally inspired ingredients, facebook fans should go online and share how they top their burger. The winning burger nets a $5000 Super Fan Pack that includes a new 52’ HDTV, a StubHub.com GC, a Fanatics.com GC for new apparel and a grocery gift card! I would say those are some pretty substantial prizes, especially for those that lost so much in the Hurricane. Submit your recipes before November 12th! Oh, and here's a bit of help, when you "like" BallPark on facebook, there's a coupon for $2 off Flame Grilled Patties.

I love that you use my FAVORITE hamburger buns! Those things are so good! And much more hearty.

I could totally see this being a hit in my house. I love hamburgers, and love to add all the works. The husband loves mushrooms on his hamburgers too. And even better....SUPER easy to cook up with them just going into the microwave.

That looks delicious and now I am hungry! I use those as hamburger buns, too and love the Munster cheese! Way cooler than American!

I love the sandwich thins and this burger sounds delicious. Having grown up around the Gulf Coast, I have an idea of what ya'll are going through up there. I don't know if most people can visualize piles of wreckage and debris 30-40 miles long waiting for disposal--and that is after the cleanup. Or picture a boat on top of a restaurant 30 miles inland. My thoughts are with you.

Those look delicious and I love the name. I hope things get better quickly for you all out there. I can't even imagine what it must be like. You are in my thoughts.
