Secret of the Wings has fluttered into my hands! #DisneyFairies

#DisneyFairies, Secret of the Wings review
I had such a fabulous time during #DisneyMoviesEvent and loved Secret of Wings so much that I needed a copy sent to me when it was released on DVD October 23rd. We were even lucky enough to have an interview with Peggy Holmes, the director of Secret of the Wings. Anyways, this is the first #DisneyFairies' movie in over 2 years! Did you notice? Normally, they have one every year.
Peggy Holmes Interview, Secret of the WIngs
Join Tink and her friends in an adventure that takes you into the beautiful but forbidden Winter Woods. Meet a gorgeous, hip new winter fairy, Periwinkle and discover a glittery secret that will change the world of Tinkerbell forever.

Surprisingly, this was the first Disney Fairies movie to be released in 3D but it's not your typical 3D movie. Peggy Holmes had wanted to use 3D in a non-traditional way. She used it to give scenes more depth for a realistic feel.

As I noted in my previous post, I fell in love with the movie because it wasn't that girly. I could see my nephews watching it for the adventure and magic involved. Besides that, the movie taught great principles about family, loyalty, friendships, and self-sacrifice for the overall good. A wonderfully created film that's worth watching.

Despite it's fall release, it really has no reference to Christmas or anything of the sort...just breath-taking summer and winter scenery. The transitions that happened as characters jumped between the worlds...A-maz-ing! But you'll have to check that out yourself in their newly released DVD, Blu-ray, and 3D combo packs. The 4-disc Combo pack I received includes a Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital Copy, Blu-Ray 3D and Pixie Hollow games bonus adventure! It came in this pretty hologram of Tink's wings and I just love it!

P.S. The SO watched it with me last night and he was surprised to see that it was a pretty good movie.

I've got a nephew and I think this would be a great film, especially since it teaches principles about family, loyalty, and self-sacrifice for the overall good.
