Support the Peloton Project...#PelotonFilm

I had to do this, for a couple reasons. I am in the medical field so of course, I'll show my support for cancer survivors! Its a strenuous ordeal and survivors have so much strength and courage. Reason #2? Well, most of you know I'm originally Canadian so considering the Peloton Project is originating in Calgary, AB (where Canervive was founded), this cowgirl's gotta show her support! Woot! By now, I've probably lost about 90% of you. You're all thinking, what is she going on about?

I'm sharing this information for one of the companies I work with because their president, Laura Davis, is a four-time cancer survivor and she is producing a documentary film called The Peloton Film. She's working with Director, Ramsey Tripp, and Executive Producer Patrick Dempsey. Call me silly but being in the medical field doesn't necessarily mean you watch all the doctor shows...In fact, I very rarely watch them so I had no clue who he was. Oops! I'm sure all the fans out there do. However, in the rare case that you're like me, Patrick Dempsey is "McDreamy" from Grey's Anatomy.

The Peloton Project this year will follow nearly 40 cyclists on a 2,500 mile ride from Alberta, Calgary, Canada to Lewiston, Maine where they will participate in the Dempsey Challenge. This ride will last 10 days, with the cyclers cycling relay-style day and night.

The whole point of this production is to show the stories of cancer survivors, caregivers, and of a patient just diagnosed. Cyclists will be paired up with these "cancer warriors" and will be ride in their honor. Follow along the route and watch the cyclists and survivors connect throughout this mission online. The finish line to the film is where the cyclists and cancer patients will finally meet in person.

To get the documentary started, they need your help. They've launched a Kickstarter project to raise $20,000. Anyone can back the film at any amount you feel comfortable with. They'd be happy even with just $1. You can also receive rewards depending on how much you pledge. They need to get more than $10,000 pledged from backers on Kickstarter by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 6 in order to get the ball rolling on this one.
