I've moved! Have you heard? Life has been even crazier than usual now that I had to pack up and unpack in my new place. And it hasn't quite settled down. I didn't even have a chance to take a breath, sit back and relax. I've been running, running, running. As I went through this moving process for what seemed like the tenth millionth time, I've discovered a few things that made life easier.

10 Moving Tips to make your life easier
1) Avoid more than 50lb/box
2) Use similar sized boxes so you can stack and organize easier.
3) Smaller boxes are easier to load
4) Stack the heavy boxes on the bottom
5) Use moving boxes better than plastic boxes which tend to crush
6) Pack boxes full to the top! My hubby kept breaking this rule so when our boxes stacked, they'd sometimes get crushed.
7) Pack by room to keep things sorted.
8) Label well -This is of utmost importance...I tend to organize by room but inevitably, I always end up with a couple boxes of last minute things that are of mixed nature. Ya, those all end up in one box and it's always hard organizing afterwards.
9) Sometimes, buying boxes may be a better idea. You can at least get some of each size and ensure you have multiples of the same size, making stacking boxes easier.
10) Buy boxes, supplies from hardware stores. It's cheaper than moving, storage, or office supply companies! I was paying $5 a box from an office supply store until I realized a similar sized box at a hardware store was $1.50. I could get 3 for the same price!

My friends at Karina Dresses were ever so kind to send me a housewarming gift after I moved in! Look at all these beautiful colors and patterns. It's a one-of-a-kind dress for the one-of-a-kind me!
