New Year's Resolution Spotlight: #MyMemories #Scrapbooking #Software #Review

I take a lot of pictures, not usually of myself, but of loved ones. Sometimes, we all get a little busy and don't get a chance to spend as much time as we'd like with loved ones. Sometimes, we do get to have a blast with everyone. Memories last and stay but I like to keepsake my memories with pictures. Now, I have a fun way to present my pictures, in digital scrapbooking format with MyMemories Suite v3.

I received the downloadable copy for review and so first thing I had to do was to download and install it. The nice thing is that the software is available for both Macs and Windows so its good for everyone. I wasn't so happy about the download/installation speed though. As a matter of fact, I got tired of waiting for it to install that I cancelled it after 10 minutes and started over again in order to time how long it would take to install. An hour and a half later, I was at 10%. The speed was on/off and I think it has to do with the server on which the file is hosted on. But on my 5th or 6th attempt, I finally got the file downloaded in about 5-6 hours. I should note that I pay for a faster internet speed and my speed was good with everything else but the install so my recommendation would be to install it in the background while you do something else. Well, once it got set up, then I was ready to have some fun.

With >1,500 papers, >1,000 page elements, and >30 album templates, the possibilities for creativity are endless as you put together a scrapbook or photo album in a matter of minutes. You can also enhance your scrapbooks with music, narration, video, and even the Internet. Its pretty easy to use and you can edit things at your will. I enjoyed how I could use it to make personalized picture books, sweet content for my blog or even simple greeting cards for my family. I threw together my Christmas greetings for you on it in a matter of minutes. Let me know what you think.

Overall, a pretty neat program and lots of fun once you get to use it! Well worth the download but I would recommend going for the software if you don't want to wait.

6 hour download? Is it worth it? Does it take up too much room on hard drive? Can you order it on a CD?

I am the world's worst when it comes to organizing pictures! I'd love to try something like this to motivate me ;)

eeew if it took your high speed 5-6 it would take 10-12 for me. Think I'll wait until they come up with a lot faster download. To bad to because other than that it sounds fabulous.
