Your insider look at the #coolest #toys this season & a sneak peak at next year's releases #TBTBHoliday #holidaygiftguide

Christmas Gift Ideas 2012
Blogger ate up my first post so we're starting from scratch again. It's been a crazy busy week starting last Saturday when I attended The Big Toy Book Biggest Day of Holiday Play #TBTBHoliday Event in NYC.
#TBTBHoliday, The Big Toy Book Biggest Day of Holiday Play
There were so many toys including some of the hottest toys this season and some that'll be coming out early next year. Here's your sneak peek and insider scoop! I've got a huge list with nice short points so let's get cracking.
Hand Wash Timers, Magic Show
First up are the Hand Wash Timers, cute little things you attach to the top of your soap dispenser. When the kids press on it to get soap, it lights up and starts a musical song that tells you how long you should be washing your hands for. Great stocking stuffers! Then there's magic tricks! Who doesn't love magic? These kits retail at reasonable prices and the smaller card tricks are more great stocking stuffers.
Flyline Action Toy
Flyline is actually pretty neat. It's a remote controlled flyer that whirls around a central pole. Are you ready to fly, aviators?
Mystixx Vampires, Magic Show, Doc McStuffins
Now, we're getting to some of the hottest toys this holiday season. From what I've heard, Mystixx Vampires and Doc McStuffins are the toys to get for kids this year. They've been flying out of shelves and some places are even all sold out. Mystixx Vampires feature 2-faced dolls so you can "turn" their looks and change their fashion style with 2 outfits. Doc McStuffins is the popular Disney Junior show where Doc McStuffins takes care of her stuffed animals. Then there's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...how nostalgic. I used to play and watch TMNT too! "Turtles in a half shell, turtle power!" Look for all new lines of TMNT toys, although Shredder, Master Splinter, and Krane look different than what I remember.
Angry Birds, Yummy Dough, Spirograph, Pomz, Slinky, Hex Bugs
Angry Birds!! OMG, there's a slingshot game, where you fling the sticky angry birds at the board. Very cool. There's also Yummy Dough, a play dough of sorts that you CAN eat, raw or cooked. Just make sure the kids' hands are clean before they start playing. There's also the return of old classics like Spirograph and Slinky. They actually gave us a Music Box Slinky but my music box didn't work. :( Get this though...they actually made a 14K GOLD plated Slinky. Haha! Don't forget Hex Bugs, the combat battle bugs.
Light Brix, Koosh, TMNT
Now, we're nearing my favorites. Light Brix are so cool. They come in buildable sets: Towers, helicopters, motorcycles, etc and they light up via 2 AA batteries. Batteries are NOT included but this is genuine fun for kids of all ages. And Koosh from my friends at Hasbro...an addiction I've had since BlogHer this summer. Who doesn't love target practice? These soft balls make for safe   playing.
Boogie Board, Erasable tablet
Last but not least is the Boogie Board, an erasable chalkboard-like tablet that features an LCD screen. The button up top erases the screen and makes for a great drawing board for the kids or a memo pad for adults. Estimated to last 7-9 years, this is definitely a green product!
With all these toys to choose from, there's definitely something in there for everyone. Make sure to check out #TBTBHoliday Part 2 for more awesomeness.

Some great ideas! I love that Spirograph is back... that was one of my favorite things when I was a kid! Maybe I'll grab one for my youngest niece and show her how it's done.
