My thoughts on #Loews #Hollywood Hotel #Travel #DisneyMoviesEvent

Remember when I went to the #DisneyMoviesEvent back in September? I had the opportunity to stay at Loews Hollywood Hotel, a gorgeous hotel in a prime location. You may actually have stayed here before when it was known as the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. Equipped with over 600 rooms, it offers a luxurious retreat for families, couples, and business travellers.
Loews Hollywood Review
The lobby decor was colorful and attractive. The rooms were large and comfortable with ample desk space to work on. My room actually had a view of the Hollywood sign although part of it was covered. My fellow bloggers could see the whole sign though at higher levels. However, I'm not one to complain since my room was switched due to early check in.

The staff were definitely courteous and warm. My favorite part of the hotel though, lay in it's location and the food. Let's start with the location. It's conveniently attached to the Hollywood & Highland Center, which also happens to have the Dolby Theater, the permanent home of the Academy Awards and the location of that famous staircase. Grauman's Chinese Theater, Madame Tussaud's, the Hard Rock Cafe, and Disney's El Capitan Theatre are also mere moments away.
Preston's restaurant served a delectable cuisine. Just looking at that calamari again is making me hungry. I had a 3 course dinner prix fixe one night as well. I was stuffed full but couldn't stop myself from finishing the dessert to the last crumb because it was just that good. Well worth the price too.

Remember to get a print-out your bill before you leave and check your credit card statement though. I was double charged on the minibar and had to call to clarify the mix up. They really should have a better system in place for that. They also charged me for something I didn't use. They have sensors in the fridge that detect if things move. However, the staff should also verify to see if things are removed before the hotel automatically charges. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind staying there again. Check it out the next time you're in Hollywood, CA if you're looking for a great hotel in a superb location!

What a fun hotel! I'll have to put this on my list for the next time we are in the area.
