Getting my day back on track with #MyUrgentRx #CBias

I'm at crossroads in life. Instead of enjoying a laid back, relaxed honeymoon, I'm scurrying around trying to sort things out because I move in less than a week. There's so much to do in so little time. It's things that have to be done. When I overwork myself, I tend to develop headaches and it sucks. There's nothing like trying to get work done and have your head feel like it's about to blow.

#MyUrgentRx Saves the Day! #CBias

2013 New York Toy Fair #TFNY #TF13 #Toyfair
Three days into Toy Fair and I was spent. Long days of commute, full days of walking and talking, and fun toy exhibits were wearing me down. I was tired and my throbbing headache wasn't helping. My back hurt as I had been carrying what felt like rocks for days. Add on to it, it was that time of the month. In short, it sucked and I was in pain. So I bailed out early that day to find myself some pain meds and hopefully, some fast pain relief. Being the Big Apple, you know it's just easy to walk into any convenient Duane Reade since there's so many of them around.

Steaming it up on dreary days with #DRAsianMeals #CBias

When it's gloomy and mopey outside, I really don't feel like cooking. All I want is something warm and quick. Where do I go? Well, it is New York so I'm definitely heading to my neighborhood's Duane Reade first.

Indulging myself with the #DRHappyandHealthy Magazine #CBias #cbBigApple

It is getting chilly out lately. Well, it hasn't been too bad in NYC itself considering it was nice enough for me to walk to Duane Reade today. When I stepped out a couple minutes ago though, "Brrr!" It's high time to enjoy some tea! I'm a tea lover either way and well, with the help of Duane Reade's Happy and Healthy magazine, I was able to pick up a few items that not only made me happy but offered me healthier choices. Take a look!

Sexy legs and easy fall #fashion with #DRLegwear #CBias

Have you got glimpses of my tweets lately? Well, this fashionista is gearing up for some fall fashion and my staples include sweater dresses with tights or leggings and boots! I typically love different pops of colors but nothing too crazy but if you want the one pair of legging or tights that will go with essentially any outfit, black or dark gray is your color.

Getting ready for Hurricane Sandy with Del Monte #SmartSnack #CBias

Walmart
Hurricane Sandy is coming! Alright, part of me is excited but the sane part of me wants to make sure I'm prepared. I just got in from last night from a conference and had already made plans to go for a quick trip to Walmart to pick up some essentials that I needed. I already have lots of food and water but I wanted to grab some snacks, just in case. Why? I eat multiple small meals and snacks throughout the day. Despite my love for all things cheesy, healthy snacks are a big priority.

#Powercoco refreshes the day! #CBias

Power Coco
So, I had quite the eventful day today! A Madagascar 3 screening that had me singing, "Afrocircus, Afrocircus...polkadot afro!" until now, actually. I'm sure I'll continue to sing it all night and weekend. LOL. Anyhow, I expended quite a bit of energy and totally needed to replenish myself. Being a super fan of coconut juice, I had a craving! I wanted to try out this new Natural Sports Drink that only very recently hit NYC markets. It's called Power Coco and is made from coconut water. They claim to be natural hydration and I wanted to try it.

Fighting allergies to become a #ClearBeauty #CBias #SocialFabric

CVS pharmacy
Before living in New York, I had no allergies...I was healthy! After I started living here, I discovered, NYC = Allergy Central. I still remember a local telling me that "New York has one of the highest pollen indexes and if you weren't allergic before, you will be now." I now had a problem. I'd go home and be fine but as soon as I came back here, especially if it was pollen season...like now, I'd face a myriad of problems. Oh my, my nose would run, my ears would get plugged up, my eyes itchy and of course, my chronic sinusitis would get worse. I've been dealing with difficult breathing on and off due to my congestion but it's always worse in New York. Most of the time, I deal with it unless my allergies get really bad.

#CBias 3rd Birthday Run

Collective Bias/Social Fabric turned 3 this year! Yesterday, actually...Happy Birthday! We had signed up to do a walk/run in celebration of that and help raise some funds for Girls on the Run. Although I couldn't run at 11:11AM, the designated time, we went out later in the day. LOL, at 11AM, I was still out of town, scrambling to figure things out, eat and get to the airport. After picking the babies up, I took them out for the virtual Birthday Walk/Run.

A @McD_Canada Break #EqualCanada #CBias

So, while I'm home this holiday season, I decided to meet up with some friends and ended up showing up too early. So in the end, I relaxed at McD's until they showed up.  On my walk towards the heavenly arches, I was already drifting off on the delicious aromas wafting out into the cold winter air.
