#Combat nasty little creatures & 1K #Sweepstakes

how to kill ants
Okay, I live in New York...there are roaches...there are ants...and all sorts of disgusting creepy crawlies. I loathe all of those little creatures and so have developed a habit of being safe with my foods. Everything is sealed if it's opened. Garbage gets taken out right away. Unfortunately, these pets keep coming back! I have an inkling they're coming from upstairs since we are in a very old building. Sometimes, I'll randomly see a roach and it freaks the hell out of me. Combat is supposed to fight roaches and ants at the source. Give them something to take back to the colony to effectively kill the whole colony, leaving you worry free. I was sent the Ant Bait and Ant Gel to review. LOL, lord knows I could use the cockroach one too. Keep reading for your chance to win one for yourself and the chance to win $1000.

Some concerns come to mind...is it toxic to humans and pets? According to their FAQs, Combat products are non-toxic to humans and have a low toxicity to pets so they recommend hand washing after contact and keeping it away from household pets. So, they pass the first test. According to the material provided, Combat Source Kill Max Ant Gel (1 syringe) works within hours and up to a month and uses Fipronil. The Ant Bait (comes with 6 stations) uses an insecticide that's child-resistant and serves as a long-lasting solution to your ant problem. The child resistant part refers to a plastic station that keeps the ant bait from being exposed. I would still recommend you put it in a safe spot away from children and hand washing after contact.

After looking at the MSDS sheets, I noticed that the Ant and Cockroach Gels/Bait contain similar active ingredients. As such, I wondered if the ant bait can also be used as cockroach bait. Part of me feels like it could be if it's both using Fipronil. However, they do market ones for cockroaches and ones for ants so maybe not? I actually think it may be due to the size of the opening of the ant bait. Anyhow, I placed the baits in the areas I'd seen the ants and also used the gel as a reinforcement for those areas. I took care to avoid places the pups could get into. They do have a scent, the ant baits much more than the gel. The pups came running right away when they smelt it. The gel was a slightly messy to use and only covered about 3' worth of area. It also comes out a bit chunky. The plastic for the baits were a bit weak. I almost tore apart the ant baits when I was trying to tear them apart from each other.

Combat Source Kill Max Ant Bait and Ant Gell will help you get rid of ants. I've never used any other solutions before so I can't compare it with other products. However, I did notice a decrease in the amount of ants in my place, which I'm happy about. Now, I only need some to deal with the roaches that keep invading from my neighbors' apartments.

Combat is also hosting a $1,000 Sweepstakes that ends on September 14th at 3pm PST. So go sign up before it's too late. All you have to do is watch a 1min and 30sec video and then fill out the form. Easy!

The key to eliminating roaches is to kill the small ones in the nest

It doesn't matter where you live, they come in when they are cold or it's too rainy out or they are searching for last nights left overs. Currently using an ant bait in strategic areas. I'll be sure and try this one next.

I'd like to use it in our hall bathroom. The ants are somehow getting in!

I put these is every room. I don't really have any roaches inside. I have a little problem with little flying roaches around my compost. Don't know what to do about that.

I didn't know that after a roach enters a motel and goes back to the nest, the whole colony is killed within 6 to 24 hours.
