CSN Stores and Beautyrest Classic Mattress Pad Review

So, its been a little while since I've done a review with CSN Stores and I chose a mattress pad to review this time. It was quite the learning experience and I think it'll be very helpful for those of you looking for a similar thing between mattress pads and mattress toppers.


So, here's my story. I have a futon that I had bought from Target...mmhmm, I know, its not really the best place to buy furniture but it was decent looking at a decent price. It was meant to be a guest bed so I figured it couldn't be too bad...until my friends stayed the night and said it felt a little too lumpy bumpy and I think, well, if people my age can't handle it, what's going to happen when our family including elderly members come to visit. They'll definitely stay longer and then what would I do? So, I decided I needed something to go overtop. I had no clue what a mattress topper or mattress pad was. For all I knew, they were the same thing. But nope, they're not. Quick information that I found that really helped me with my decision on which to go with. Mattress toppers tend to be thicker and are usually foam pads that you set on top of your mattress. They're also more expensive being more comfortable and probably more ideal in my case since I was needed comfort and something to cover all the "lumpy bumpies" as my friends called it. However, its a little too expensive for me and well, for my purposes, it was just too inconvenient as I felt it may shift without a fitted sheet and it would also make it difficult when I moved. Mattress pads are generally thinner so they may not be as comfortable as mattress pads, but they're a lot more convenient as some come fitted and they're well, smaller, so easier to pack and they incur a little less damage on the wallet. So, in the end I chose a mattress pad. 

The Beautyrest Classic 100% Cotton Mattress Pad is the mattress pad I chose this time due to the ratings and the affordability. I liked the idea that it could be machine washed and dried. It also had the expandable grip skirt that can expand up to 15" for thicker mattresses. It arrived within a week of my placing the order and that's something that I love CSN for, their speedy shipping times. The grip skirt was great, it kept the mattress pad steady and prevented it from shifting around. 


What about comfort, you ask? Well, what better way to test it for comfort than to actually sleep on it. So, I spent the night on it and I slept fine, about the same as usual, I'd say. I still felt the lumps and bumps in certain parts of the futon but it did feel alright in terms of comfort. My SO, however, couldn't get comfortable and went back to our own bed less than an hour in. So, we sit at opposite ends of the spectrum on this one. He really doesn't think that the mattress pad helped any, if any at all. I figured it did help, maybe not 100% but it was enough so that I could fall asleep and stay asleep the whole night. 


To be fair though, I believe it would've worked great on our normal bed since its got a nice smooth surface on top but on the futon where there were natural dips in the surface of the bed, this mattress pad just didn't make the cut for my SO. However, for the price ($24 + shipping), I think its a decent buy.


Bottomline:
CSN Stores: Love it!
Beautyrest Classic 100% Cotton Mattress Pad: It does seem functional and was comfortable in my opinion and well, for the price, it would be alright. Would I recommend it to others? I would recommend it if you were using it on a regular bed because it would make your bed more comfortable, but definitely not on a futon that did not originally have a smooth surface.

CSN Stores and EGR Universal Sport Bag Plus Black Label Pet Carrier Review

"What? I'm comfy..."

Okay, this has been a fairly bad couple of weeks for me as the surgery my baby was supposed to have done was kinda botched to my utter surprise, dismay, and disappointment, which resulted in my shelling out an extra grand to deal with the complications of her surgery so I was appreciating and loving CSN Stores all the more. My original plan was to do a review of some of the wide assortment of cookware available for my choosing because I really do need cookware but unfortunately, due to my recent circumstances, I had to go with something that was more practical and definitely needed around. So, my baby's needs came before mine and I decided to go with something from the Clearance section of CSN Stores. This decision actually made my week!


First of all, I had some doubts about ordering from the clearance center. After all, the items in the clearance center were returns and I didn't know why people have returned them. Was there something wrong with it? If its such a good product, why wouldn't they keep it? This is a final sale, should I risk it to save some money? All these thoughts were running through my head. To be fair though, CSN stores did give a warning blurp about there possibly being some wear but each return is inspected thoroughly before being sold at a discounted price. Amazingly though, when my product arrived 48 hours after I placed my order, I was glad to see that all my worries were completely unfounded! In my box was basically a brand new item with no signs of wear and tear. I couldn't believe my luck, I basically bought a brand new item for close to half off. I was a little upset that although the advertising price was $42.48 vs the original price of $84.95, when I went to check out and add it to my basket, the price I was actually charged was $44.00 but at any rate, it was still a deal and I didn't have to pay as much out of my own pocket as I normally would have so I guess it worked out in the end. Moral of the story? CSN Stores Clearance Center is a great place for sweet deals! In my case, I basically picked up a brand new item for close to 50% off! Who needs to wait for Boxing Day? Or Black Friday? So, if you're looking to save a buck, grabbing a good deal for good quality items, check out the clearance center. There's so much in there and if everything is as good quality as the item I chose, I'm one happy camper.

Alright, onwards to the actual item I chose...I ended up purchasing an EGR Sport Bag Plus Black Label Pet Carrier. Phew...that was a mouthful! Well, I need to go home for the holidays and with the new baby, I need a way to bring her home and I really can't afford too much right now because of her surgery, my tuition, rent, living expenses, etc and bills in general. Her other bag is starting to fall apart and is basically screaming for the need of a new carrier bag! My baby..by the way, people usually misunderstand my baby as actually being a baby, if you haven't been with me up to this point, is my pup. No, I would not shove a real baby into a pet carrier... Yes, I love my pup to bits and call her my baby. :) So yes, baby needed a new carrier, something that would fit as a carry-on for my flight home.

When I was browsing through the clearance section for something affordable, this one just caught my eye. The design was so sleek, stylish and sexy if I might say. I fell in love at first sight, this was the one even if I had to pay some extra out of my own pocket! Now, the description says it should fit airline requirements and I'm hoping so myself too but I haven't actually been on my flight yet so I can't really tell you how that will work yet. But OMG, when it arrived, I was like a little kid Christmas morning! All the parts were just so fun, so amazing and it was such a high quality bag that I was shocked I was able to get such a good deal! Okay, I know I'm rambling but these are the features I found ever so cool. 

Sniffing out the new surroundings...

1) It's a padded bag for the comfort of your pets.

The convenience!! I love it!

2) It's a top loader and there's a leash on the inside to attach to your baby's collar so they can't try to jump out! This works great!
3) There are 4 windows, basically 2 at the sides that have detachable windows attached by velcro and another 2 at the ends that zipper on and off to give your pet somewhere to stick their head out. 
4) There's a little area for the poo bags so that you can have easy access to them.
5) It came with 2 sets of 2 straps of different lengths which you can adjust with the buckles so that you can carry it different ways. For example, there's a short set where you can use it has handles, a shoulder strap or make it into a back pack. The longer straps are used to anchor the bag in the car, essentially making the bag into a pet car seat. Its unbelievable how functional this bag is.


The only thing I really didn't like about this bag was that it had a tiny zipper compartment for storage and  I was hoping for a bit more for storage since I need to be carrying her food and treats with me. That and it may be a bit bulky to store but if I'm using it anyways, it won't need to be stored away!


Bottomline:
CSN Stores Clearance Center: Sweet deals for returned products that are basically like new!
EGR Universal Sport Bag Plus Black Label Pet Carrier: Incredibly functional pet carrier. Absolutely love it. I only hate the fact that it has a tiny storage compartment. Its definitely above a 4.5 but not quite a 5 just because of the storage problem. Would I recommend it to others? Oh yeah, without a doubt in my mind!

CSN Stores and Caddis Nuzzle Nest Dog Bed Review & Upcoming Giveaway!

Remember about a week ago when I said I was going to have an upcoming review and giveaway with CSN stores? Here's the review part! The giveaway part is still coming up so keep posted.


My experience with CSN Stores was absolutely wonderful; they had great customer service and they were very much willing to accommodate me and my needs. The selection itself was also amazing; I couldn't believe how much time I would spend poring over each part of the site trying to figure what I should get and review. I need so much in my new place and with the hospital hours taking up the majority of my time,  I really don't have time to go out and shop.  For example, I was on call these past 2 weekends, effectively putting me at the hospital for 26 days straight...can you imagine that!?? It really explains my bare apartment! 

 

I was torn between trying to buy furniture, cleaning tools, kitchen supplies and basic stuff for my baby! I wanted this vacuum cleaner so that cleaning up the apartment would be easy... I wanted these gorgeous Le Creuset stoneware for cooking and baking in the oven... I wanted the knife sets.... In short, I pretty much wanted everything! :) It was a terrible decision to make...


In the end, I decided to get something for my baby...It was the Caddis Nuzzle Nest Dog Bed in Navy.  I placed and got my order within a week. Funny thing is, when I went out to greet the UPS guy, I brought the baby out with me and she was instantly all over the box being the curious pup she always is!  Once I pried the bed out of the box, she immediately started using it as a trampoline! Jumping on and then off of it in the most ridiculous way! I don't think she had realized at that point that it was a bed yet. I quickly popped it into her crate and she followed in so quickly, I barely had time to move my hands... And this is the havoc that broke out in the next several minutes...

LOL!! Just kidding! ;) Within the 10 minutes that I had received the package, she had already fallen asleep on it! I imagine it must've been very comfortable as she loves being in there and bringing her toys onto her bed to play. I really am glad I chose this item out of all the ones I really wanted! I had chosen the Caddis Nuzzle Nest Dog Bed because of its strong sales points! The sherpa fabric overtop was just so soft and comfortable and I loved the fact that you can just take the cover off and throw it in the washer and dryer should any "accidents" happen or if it gets dirtied! Great product all around. The only complaint I have is that the sherpa seems to come off but that's also a combination of my baby biting and scratching but it'd be nice if it was more durable... and my only other complaint is that my baby likes being on it so much that she loves staying in there even when she's not sleeping! Its definitely made her crate a much more homely place for her. A solid 4.5 stars out of 5. I would definitely recommend this for others with dogs.


Bottomline, CSN stores was great for getting everything I need and with their free shipping offered on many products, it was a great deal. I don't have time to go out and they offered the perfect solution and their customer service was so on the ball that I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again!  Another 4.5 stars out of 5!

Eden Fantasys -An entirely new experience

To be honest, I have no clue how to start writing about this. I'm rather reserved about my personal life, especially more about my sex life and have never strayed too far off the road in terms of experiences and experimentation. :) This is starting to sound more like a confession than anything...



I found Eden Fantasys as I was thinking of starting to experiment out of the norm with my SO of 7 years as 99.9% of the time, we are too tired, stressed out and busy to do anything. I admit, its more on my side with the monthly cramps and not feeling well all the time. So, honestly, I was ecstatic to discover Eden Fantasys with something that would help enjoy the little time we have. I'm sure most of the parents out there are just as busy and find time limited for their intimate moments.  Eden Fantasys is an adult shop selling anything from adult toys to sensual massage kits to plain simple candles and lingerie so it can be for anyone that is looking for something for a special occasion with their SO, someone who's in a league all on their own, or any other occasion. Its totally up to you. I'm amazed by the range of products they have. Of course, I'm also a noob when it comes to this stuff. Let's just say, I had no idea how to use the item I received... ;) and I am actually quite embarrassed to admit it too.


I'm not quite bold enough to go into explicit product reviews quite yet, I'll probably gently work my way up there. However, I can tell you that I was very pleased with the service of Eden Fantasys. I know a big concern of mine was how the products would arrive in the mail and what would my mailman and neighbors think!? Reassuringly, they mail your order discretely in a box and its not even labelled from Eden Fantasys so I was very relieved to find out my package arrived safely and I was saved from funny looks from my neighbors. And you know what, the shipping was fast! I placed my order over a weekend and got it the 2nd business day after that.
