As you may already know, one of the things I'm passionate about is animals. It breaks my heart when I see sad stories of people abandoning puppies. The latest article I read was a woman dumping a bag of newborn pups, not even more than a few weeks old next to a dumpster. Goodness, people, there are places to gently, kindly, and empathetically give up your animals! Please use the appropriate avenues and give these innocent animals a chance at life.

As you know, charitable causes are near and dear to my heart and I do love supporting a good cause. JR was an adopted dog and she had made a world of difference in our lives. Adoption and rescue is some of what the ASPCA has done for many years; in fact, they've reached their 150th anniversary in April. In honour of this amazing feat of love and rescue, they have been celebrating with 150 Days of Rescue. 150 Days of Rescue is a nationwide action campaign that hopes to unite the country in making a difference in the lives of homeless and abused animals. Join in and make a difference in those that do not have a voice to cry for help.

Having adopted JR, adoption is a topic very close to my heart. So as a Nutrish® Ambassador, I was more than happy to extract some time out of my busy schedule to do some good, just in time for the holiday season! We made a series of two visits, wherein we visited a couple of shelters, helped out and donated some Nutrish coupons for hopeful adoptees.

I've tested out a few pedometers in my day and I usually get sick of items once they become somewhat tedious...which is why I always have a hard time maintaining my New Year's resolutions. Every year, there's a couple that are at the top of the list. Every year, I fail. LOL, one of them is definitely fitness and weight loss. With the dogs, it helps a little since that guarantees several walks a day but I think I've found myself a little extra incentive.

I am still in amazement at how these wines only cost $7 per bottle. I had a rough week this week and I really needed something to relax and soothe me over the weekend. Flip Flop wines really came to the rescue. I never really liked wine at the beginning. It really all began with my future MIL and drinking wine with her led to my eventual love for wine. Weird, isn't it?
