This Valentine's Day, allow us to share with you some delicious treats for the mind! As much as I love my sweets, I've found I needed to watch my intake lately. So, this is wonderously perfect for parents who want to introduce some fun reading into their child's life without the worry for cavities. We always love a great selection from National Geographic Kids and this time is no different.

Our Valentine's Day National Geographic Line Up consists of these 7 fabulous books:
-So Cute: Puppies
-We Love Babies!
-My Weird But True Fact-a-Day Fun Journal
-The Big Book of Bling
-Little Kids First Big Book of Animals
-Adorable Animals Super Sticker Activity Book
-Just Joking 3

So Cute: Puppies (Ages 3-7, hardcover, $6.99) -This is an adorable book. We had so much fun reading through this super cut book filled with puppies and informative facts. My preschooler was hooked on this book right away.

We Love Babies! (ages 2-5, hardcover, $17.99) -This book is so much fun to read aloud with it's catchy rhymes. It's quite difficult to resist adorable baby animals.

My Weird But True Fact-a-Day Fun Journal (ages 8-12, paperback, $12.99) - This book is pretty neat. There's a fact a day but it also allows kids to to journal on things that they observe so that they can make their own record of things that happened around them.

The Big Book of Bling (ages 8-12, hardcover, $19.99) -Part of Valentine's Day for adults is the much marketed baubles and pretty gems that are sold to celebrate the holiday that is Valentine's Day. Sometimes, instead of splurging, it's fun to learn about all sorts of treasures. For example, did you know that the British imperial state grown has 2868 diamonds, 273 pearls, 17 sapphires, 11 emeralds, and 5 rubies? I certainly didn't! Plus, who would ever spend $3.5 million on a solid gold toilet? This book is full of fun facts and tidbits, even about animals that glitter beautifully.

Valentine's reads with Nat Geo Kids, review and giveaway
Little Kids First Big Book of Animals (ages 4-8, hardcover, $14.95)-We love all our books from the Little Kids First Book series. They are just simple, easy introduction to the category that it's dedicated in. For the Little Kids First Big Book of Animals, it offers introductions to the different categories of animals. We've been reading through this book one chapter at a time and I find sometimes, my preschooler isn't quite ready to finish when we've finished the chapter. He loves learning how they grow, what they eat and what they're called as babies.

Adorable Animals Super Sticker Activity Book (ages 4-8, paperback, $12.99) - My preschooler loves books but one of his absolute favorites is a sticker book! This book is full of stickers, in fact 2000 of them! Mine loves to interact with these, reading the little tidbits and finding the right sticker. There were so many adorable pictures and stickers that we can't get enough of it! Our only problem was a small proportion of the stickers didn't want to stick as well as we'd like them do.

Just Joking 3 (ages 7-10, paperback, $8.99) -We could always use a little bit of laughter. This is our first experience with the Just Joking book series. While it may be a bit too advanced for our preschooler, us adults got a giggle from it as would the older kids. This one, my husband appreciates too:
-Q: Why did the golfer wear two pairs of pants?
-A: In case he got a hole in one

Reading is so important. I still remember getting books as gifts and I grew up loving reading.

My favorite is the Just Joking 3 because it’s a good one to have when you need a good laugh!
