#Sleepypod #Air #Carrier #Review #Dog #Cat #PamperedPooch

Have you seen my previous Sleepypod Mini review a couple of months ago? I love my Sleepypod Mini. As promised, just in time for the Pampered Pooch Event, we're reviewing the Sleepypod Air, another pet carrier but for my Jack Russel this time. You should've seen her when baby Pom got his. She was literally green with envy!

In any pet carrier I chose, they all have one thing in common. Their ability to conform to airline regulations and fit under the airline seats! And of course, their versatility is no joke. This is exactly what you'll find in the Sleepypod Air.

As you all know, I travel quite a bit and now that I have 2 dogs, carriers that can fit under my plane seat are a must. I can't ever imagine putting my little ones in the cargo underneath. They would not deal well. Let's take a look at the specs first.

The Sleepypod Air has a patent-pending design that enables the Sleepypod Air to contract in size to fit in the space below a range of airline seats during the takeoff and landing and expand for more space during the flight (compresses from 22 inches in length to 19 or 16 inches in length). Just like the Sleepypod Mini, seatbelt straps allow the conversion of this carrier into a safe carseat.

Other features include:
-Removable and machine-washable Ultra Plush bedding
-secure and durable mesh panel on three sides for better ventilation
-removable privacy panel
-top and side entries for easy access
-folds flat for easy storage
-easy-clean exterior made of luggage-grade, ballistic nylon
-trolley pocket to secure Sleepypod Air onto other luggage
-large zipper pockets on two sides
-can be used with plug-in Warmer pad accessory
-Carrier dimensions: 16 to 22 (long) x 10.5 (wide) x 10.5 (tall) inches
-Interior dimensions: 15 to 21 (long) x 9.5 (wide) x 9.5 (tall) inches
-Carrier weight: 4 pounds
-Recommended for pets <17.5 pounds
-Colors: Jet Black, Chocolate Brown, Strawberry Red, Orange Dream, and Glacier Silver

Sleepypod Air has been so amazing that its been awarded the Modern Dog Staff Pick Award (Spring 2011), Cat Fancy Editors’ Choice (2010), Dog Fancy Editors’ Choice (2010), and the Pet Business Industry Recognition Award. They keep running out of stock and then even when stock finally comes in, it just flies off the shelves. I was amazed at how compact this carrier was. It folded up neatly when not in use and the babies loved it. There was plenty of room when the JR was in it and even more when baby Pom was in it. Funny thing was that baby Pom sneaked in when JR wasn't around and then JR came back and gave a look that said, "what are you doing in my carrier?"
Cute Jack Russel Pomeranian puppy pet humor
I really like the moveable privacy panel because JR is a bit more shy and likes to hide from the world so it offers her a bit of coverage. The seatbelt attachment feature is great to keep them safe. At this point, I've already strapped the Sleepypod Mini into the car on our last trip and loved it. However, baby Pom didn't like being alone in the back seat so I'll have to test it out again with both of them strapped into the back. But my favorite part yet is definitely the fact that I can loop the Sleepypod Air into my luggage handles. It's always enough of a hassle at the airport even with one dog but now that there's two, this could prove to be the thing that saves me and my back. To be honest, normally, I talk about both the good and bad of a product but I just can't think of anything bad about the Sleepypod Air. It's an all around great item both for your pet's comfort and yours.

Love the idea of a super compact sleep area for my pup.

This is neat, but two of my three dogs are large so it would be useless lol. That's why we drive for our trips. I do, however, want the round sleepy pod carrier for my cat.

OMG how I would love to win one of these for my Yorkie, Bentley. My mother lives in Florida so the fact that they are airline compatible and can fit under the seats is wonderful. I would never put him in the cargo, I love him to much for that. Thanks for the giveaway. I want this badly!!!!

My cat, Gigi, would like this. She likes to hide in small places.

Great features; heater, dual entries and airline regulated. Just wish my dog was small enough to fit so he could travel alongside with me too.

I am in LOVE with all of the Sleepypod products! I do, however, wish that they would consider making a large breed cat carrier. One of my boys is 20 lbs (not fat).
