Hugo Movie

The newest adventure, HUGO, by renowned director Martin Scorsese’s made its debut on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD, all with UltraViolet™, On Demand and for Digital Download February 28, 2012 from Paramount. It was the recipient of more Academy Award nominations (11) than any other film and winner of the Golden Globe for Best Director. It was further named the best film of 2011 by the National Board of Review and now I know why.

Having been sent the DVD to review, I had watched it over the weekend...twice actually, because I enjoyed it so much. Full of action and emotion, it really tugs at your heart strings and becomes a story that people of all ages can enjoy.

HUGO is now available in a three-disc Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, a two-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, and a single disc DVD. The combos will have behind-the-scenes special features, a retrospective on the  filmmaker Georges Méliès, the mechanical automaton, cast interviewsand more. The neat thing about these releases includes the feature known as UltraViolet. UltraViolet allows consumers can add movies to their digital collection in the cloud, and then stream or download them through secure networks to a variety of devices.

Based upon the book entitled The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick, HUGO is a must watch movie. The characters of the movie were rather interesting. Sacha Baron Cohen, who I know better as Borat, was surprising as Monsieur Inspector. It's a bit out of his usual roles. The other was the role of Jude Law as Hugo's father who appeared only at the beginning of the movie. Nevertheless, the movie was truly magical.

Buy It: Check your local stores for HUGO.
