Children's CD and DVD Review: The Dirty Sock Funtime Band

So, I've definitely had my share of exposure to dirty socks but this was the first time I was exposed to the Dirty Sock Funtime Band. This band is an outgrowth of Kids Creative, which is an incredibly successful New York City after-school program in which schoolchildren can write and perform original rock and roll musicals. The band was writing music for the Kids Creative classes and parents were so impressed that they encouraged the Dirty Sock Funtime Band to release their music to the world.  I am ecstatic they did and so will you.

I was sent their 'Sock-a-delic' CD and their first DVD to review and the first thing I noticed was that this was rock music. Not your hardcore rock but a fun rock that you expect to hear on the radio all the time and sing along to in the car. Yes, I do realize that its music for kids but I am a fan of Baby Spies. Definitely one of my favorite tracks on the CD. The CD features 16 fun tracks that make you move your "Sock-a-delic" feet in 39 minutes aimed at children aged 2-8 (and crazy adults like me). As if that wasn't enough, you can check out the DVD which features 3 TV episodes and 8 music videos and 7 additional songs! So much music and fun in such a little package!

Check out the Baby Spies MV and you'll see why I love this song.

Check them out in person at their 2011 Summer Tours.
