Learn Spanish through Speekee TV Review and Giveaway

CLOSED

Ola! I have always loved learning languages! When I actually started my rotations, I fully understood how important Spanish was. It sounds ridiculously corny to say this but in today's world, being multilingual is really beneficial and in my field, it really enhances the quality of care. So, I am really happy to be able to review Speekee TV, which allows you to learn Spanish through videos online. It has 10 videos altogether with over 150 minutes of video filled with the mascot, Speekee, as well as native Spanish speaking children.

I really loved the subtitled Spanish and English that allowed you to follow along with the spoken Spanish. It made the learning process easier and the concepts were reinforced through catchy songs and through later lessons. Each lesson had a certain theme and every lesson had a similar layout. Furthermore, there are downloadable worksheets with every lesson and that facilitates learning as well.

You learn basic things such as colors, fruits and vegetables, animals, and counting. It starts off nice and easy so that you can get into a good pace before picking up speed. To be honest, even I thought it started to get harder towards to end lessons! However, it can be done and through repeat watching, you could arm yourself with some decent basic Spanish. Some of the information taught through Speekee TV could even be applied for adults wanting to travel to Spanish-speaking countries. It lays that foundation down. Of course, it doesn’t teach you everything you may need to know but it’s a start!

Speekee TV could definitely be a family pastime to share with your children and to start them early on language skills because we all know it is easier to learn when you start young. Had I known how important Spanish would have been, I would’ve taken it earlier in life. Speekee TV is a great way to start off with new Spanish speakers and I would recommend it to not only children, but also adults who would like to learn basic, general Spanish before stepping it up a notch.

Adios!
