#SmartBones Chews #Review -A delectable treat..

Okay, even our pets deserve Christmas presents! Can't leave them out of the picture...so I was very happy to be able to review SmartBones, the raw-hide alternative that has all the benefits of raw hide but without the raw-hide chew. I can tell you now, my baby loves all sorts of chews...sometimes I wonder if she thinks her chew toys are edible as well...

Teensaver Diagnostics 12 Panel Home Drug Test Kit Giveaway ($43) x 2 winners

Please check out the guest post by Teensaver Diagnostics president, Steve Stahovich, here. It is controversial yet so important.

Teensavers Drug Screening Guest Post and Review

We all know that this is a sensitive subject but in my honest opinion, I support this cause. Now, I'm not telling you to go buy a kit and force your kid to take the test but I have just seen too much in my own life and even in the hospitals in my career so far. So I paired up with Teensavers to do this post. Read the guest post done by Teensavers Drug Test creator and president of Teensaver Diagnostics, Steve Stahovich. He has been through the experience and has been able to fight off his addictions and now uses his past experiences to help others.

Ear Doc Review -A solution for Ear Infections?

So most of us have had ear infections from one time or the other. Being in the medical profession, I like to be a little more precise. Approximately 1 in 38 people or 7 million people in the USA will develop an ear infection (otitis media). Ear infections occur when a cold, throat infection or allergies result in fluid becoming trapped within the middle ear. This allows bacterial flora to flourish within the middle ear. In other cases, it is due to nasophargyngeal flora making their way up into the middle ear via the eustachian tube.

It is the second most commonly diagnosed illness in children after the common cold in the US. Statistics show that more than 3 out of 4 children have had at least one ear infection by the time they turn 3. It has been shown that there is an especially increased incidence of children developing ear infections during the winter months as well, likely secondary to the increased colds experienced. Some of the most common presenting symptoms of ear infections include earache, nausea, vomiting, malaise, drainage from the ear, irritability and many other symptoms.

Treatment is with either antibiotics if the cause is bacterial or ear drops. Unfortunately, if the infection is caused by a virus, antibiotics will not help. However, in children with persistent ear infections, some docs may recommend ear tube surgery which is may be quite costly. Here's where EarDoc comes in. EarDoc uses vibrations in order to open up the Eustachian tube and allow the fluids to drain out thus, helping to resolve symptoms and the ear infection itself. My favorite part about it is that its non-invasive, it stays outside your body. I can understand children not wanting to take medications and parents having troubles keeping their little ones still for ear drops and this would be the perfect solution.

Well, this is my very first video review...Check it out to see what I thought of EarDoc and let me know what you think! :)
