I always enjoy a good book but I am ecstatic that my preschooler loves books as much as I do. In fact, our book shelves seem to be bursting at the seam. He loves reading all sorts of books. We read chapter books, picture books, facts and his current age is just so much fun to interact with, particuarly with certain National Geographic Kids Books. This holiday season, here's our selection of great holiday books to introduce to kids of all ages!

2021 Holiday Gift Guide Nat Geo Picks
Ultimate Weird But True (ages 8-12, hardcover, 192 pgs) -These books are so much fun. My husband and I both love reading it together with our preschooler and hearing their "What?!" as they hear new and interesting facts. It truly keeps the kids and adults interested in reading.

Photo Ark ABC: An Animal Alphabet in Poetry and Pictures (ages 3-7, hardcover, 48 pgs) - From armadillo to zebra, this lovely picture book has fun poetry combined with gorgeous, and sometimes goofy pictures of the animals. I will admit, our preschooler couldn't stop giggling at the poem and picture of the letter D. It was quite cute and humorous.

NG Kids Animal Encyclopedia (ages 8-12, hardcover, 304 pgs) - Explore the homes and habitats of thousands of animals in this new edition of National Geographic's best-selling Animal Encyclopedia. Filled to the brim with 2,500 species, 1,000 stunning photos, and more than a dozen engaging maps. We just love the highlight of various animals and honestly, it makes our trips to zoos and aquariums so much more fun when he recognizes an animal that we read about.

Treasury of Magical Tales from Around the World (ages 8-12, paperback) - (ages 8-12, hardcover, 208 pgs) - Who doesn't love a bit of magic? A flower-spouting princess, gobbling prince, emerald-winged fairy, foolish giants, fearsome ogres, and talking frog and fish are just some of the whimsical characters in this collection of stories from around the world.

Holiday reads with Nat Geo Kids, review and giveaway
Brain Candy 3 (ages 10+, hardcover) -(ages 8-12, paperback, 208 pgs) - This series is one of our absolute favorites! We have Brain Candy 1 and 2 and love all the fun facts that we read in this book. This book is also the perfect size for stocking stuffers and traveling. It's a book we can easily stick in his little backpack to carry around on trips.

Go Wild! Pandas (hardcover, ages 4-8, 48 pgs) - Pandas are just too adorable! I love how cute they are and this simplified book not only allows kids to learn about pandas but is at a level where a beginning reader won't be scared off by too many words.

This fun collection is perfect for the holidays.
